Functions of the Department
- Develop and review curricula and syllabi for Agricultural Colleges and Farmer Training Institutions in line with developments in the sector and Government policies and standards;
- Manage Agricultural Education and Farmer Training programmes;
- Provide career and farmer guidance to agricultural students and members of the farming community;
- Train farm managers, farm supervisors and foremen;
- Mainstream youth projects in agriculture through the Youth Desk; and
- Facilitate entrepreneurial programmes and innovations by youth in the agricultural sector.
